these wounds are self inflicted, yet another thing i'm addicted to. Headphones in, fire burning, Vicky sat on the sofa, katy perry flowing from her iPod into her ears. She sang along in her head, her eyes shut, ignoring the odd first year that would walk past her up into the dormitories.
She'd considered going onto her laptop and putting some new pictures onto Myspace, but she didn't feel like it. She had gone on her laptop, but had instead found herself talking to Stephan Reed. And now, she eagerly awaited his arrival before they departed for Hogsmeade.

''i'll see you later then,'' stephan said to david, one of his best friends from ravenclaw. he had been sitting in the interhouse common room for over an hours on his laptop, downloading all the latest new tunes and loading them onto his ipod. he was also updating his myspace and decided to sign on to instant messenger where he soon found himself in a conversation with victoria bennet; the girl he had accidentally knocked over out in the courtyard. they talking to each other for a while before arranging to meet up for a trip to hogsmeade. so now all stephan had to do was to get ready. he signed off and turned off the laptop, putting it under his arm and heading for the hufflepuff common room.
he was supposed to be meeting vicky here, but since she wasn't here yet he had some time to get himself tidied up a little. he ran up to his dorm and threw the laptop down onto his bead. looking into the mirror, he fixed his hair with a little gel and styled it so it wouldn't budge. since he no longer owned any good, warm jackets he could use for winter, he was to buy one from hogsmeade. he wore dark denim jeans, a blue t-shirt and a leather jacket over the top. and he was ready. he headed down into the common room where he saw vicky sitting on the sofa. ''guess who,'' he said, grinning as he walked up behind her and covered her eyes with his hands.

As someone entered the room and approached her, Vicky opened her eyes, before hands covered them. Pulling her earphones out, she heard a familiar voice say "Guess Who." "Hmmm... the easter bunny?" She asked, winding the earphones around her iPod, even though she couldn't see it.
She knew full well it was Stephan, she'd been coming down the stairs of the girls dormitory as he had gone up to the boys. She had quickly straightened her hair and changed into some warmer clothes. A black jumper was layed over the arm of the chair, and her wand was inside her pocket. Not the back one of course, she knew of the dangers. Although it would make a change to the freezing cold.

stephan laughed as vicky said it was the easter bunny. ''how'd you know?'' he answered, removing his hands from her eyes and sitting down beside her on the sofa. ''like my jacket?'' he asked, holding his black leather jacket and showing it off in several poses as if he were a model or something. ''all i need now are the heels,'' he added, laughing. vicky looked pretty; he noticed her hair had been done and she had changed into different clothes, as had he.
''you ready to go?'' he added. he thought about to route they would take to get to hogsmeade as there were so many, but since she was the lady, he would just follow along behind her. the only thing stephan hated about the female species was the fact that they dominated over men. the poor guys had no say in anything when a woman was around. but since stephan was such a nice guy (he laughed to himself earlier as he thought about this) he just let the women take control over him. he didn't really mind at all. whatever made them happy.

"I just had a feeling." She said with a grin, before looking over her shoulder at Stephan, her eyes following him as he sat down and showed of his jacket. She chuckled, before putting her foot up at his comment on heels. "You can have these ones if you want, i've got plenty of shoes."
"Yeah, but just remember that we are sneaking out. The hogsmeade trip isn't till next week so we can't go the normal way. Only way I know of is through the Whomping Willow, but I don't fancy going into the shack. Gives me the creeps. You lead the way." She said. Vicky knew that a past Hogwarts student, who went by the name of Harry Potter, had once taken a passage to Honeydukes, but she didn't know where the other end, the end at the castle, of the passage was.

stephan laughed as vicky lifted her leg to show the heels she was wearing. ''perfect, i'll take 'em,'' he said sarcastically. this was one of the main reasons he liked vicky, and why he got on with her so well. she had a good sense of humour, unlike some others he hangs around with. when stephan attempts to crack a joke, nobody ever really gets it, or laughs seriously at it.
stephan thought for a moment after vicky said that they couldn't go the normal way to hogsmeade. afterall, the trip wasn't until the next week and they wouldn probably end up getting caught if they went the usual way. ''i know a shortcut,'' he said smiling as he grabbed her hand and pulled her off the sofa. ''let's go,'' he said, leading her out of the common room and through the castle.

ooc;; yeah. "Well, this pair's my favourite. Can I buy you a pair in Hogsmeade?" She asked, smiling at Stephan. She hadn't felt so happy in quite a while, and she was glad she had bumped into stephan in the courtyard. As he pulled her up from the sofa, and flung her hand out to grab her jumper as they ran out of the common room. She pulled the jumper on quickly, before speaking to Stephan as they started moving through the castle. "So, where's this passage?"

''dammit,'' stephan said, trying to sound as disappointed as he possibly could. he was a pretty good actor though. ''i had my eyes set on that pair,'' he said, pouting with his bottom lip and making his eyes look as innocent a vulnerable puppy. ''oh well, i suppose someone else would be kind enough to give me them,'' he added, teasing her. he laughed at her offer to buy him a pair and rolled his eyes, just before he grabbed her hand and leading out of the common room.
when vicky asked where the passage was, stephan hesitated for a moment. he didn't actually know where he was going. he had never been to this secret place, but had heard about it and that it was a quick route to hogsmeade. supposedly it was located somewhere around the lake or near the forest, but he wasn't quite sure. ''it's a surprise,'' he said, winking at her. he just had to get her onto the grounds and they would soon find a way from there.
he could maybe even take the way that lead from the whomping willow, but he was still deciding on which way to go first. he was considering taking a complete detour and whisking her off somewhere else, but then again there was nothing in hogwarts worth whisking anybody off to. all the exciting things were located in hogsmeade. all the good resturants and cafés and all the stores. ''unless you know if there is an easy way to get there, suggestions are welcome,'' he said, wondering if she had another way to get there.

Vicky had often visited Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes whenever she went to Diagon Alley, and she often spoke to George, asking about the mischeif he got up to at Hogwarts. She remembered him telling her about the passage she was stuck for remembering the entrance of. Then it hit her like a faceful of cold wind. "Of course." She thought out loud, before turning to Stephan. "One-Eyed Witch, leads straight to Honeydukes Cellar. But, i'm willing to go through your passage. I mean, you do know where it is... don't you?" She said with a grin. "Or there's always the Room of Requirement, which goes to The Hogs Head. Forget I said that, that place stinks like it's a hogs backside, let alone head."

stephan laughed at vicky's remark about the hog's head. ''i was just about to say the same thing,'' he said. he had been there several times for a drink with his friends and the place was pretty nice, except for the smell. none of his friends could last there for more than ten minutes, but stephan knew he could probably stay for longer as he didn't have a very strong sense of smell. it posed as an advantage for most of the time, but also a disadvantage for practical reasons.
as vicky mentioned the one-eyed witch, stephan thought for a moment and then shook his head after vicky asked him if he knew where it was. ''nope, not that i know of,'' he said, shrugging his shoulders. he couldn't remember if he had ever been there before, but because he had come across many passages to hogsmeade he was positive that he probably did know, and just didn't realise it.

Vicky began muttering to herself. "Oh come on Dopey, you know where this stupid statue is... Think Vicky think! Of course!" Just like before, she remembered where it was, and grabbed hold of Stephan's wrist, and leading him towards the statue, slowly sliding her hand into his. She knew he would notice, she wanted him too, but she wasn't going to try to hard. Vicky knew she couldn't just give in, she had to play hard to get, no matter how much she went against it. It wasn't exactly fair anyway. But anyway, they were the 'laws'.
When they arrived at the statue, Vicky turned to Stephan, standing opposite him, but only about half a meter away. "Remember it now?"

stephan raised his eyebrow as he thought that vickyhad called him dopey, but soon realised that she had been muttering to herself at the time. he was playing a little game with vicky; acting stupid, pretending that he didn't know where the statue actually was when he really did. he didn't know why he was acting like this, but he just was. he rolled his eyes as vicky grabbed his wrist and lead the way.
after walking for a while, stephan soon noticed that her hand had slid into his, and smiled slightly. normally he would have pulled away, if it was any other girl, but with vicky, he didn't pull back. he walked with her, hand in hand until they reached the statue. he thought for a moment asvicky asked if he remembered it now and with his free hand he scratched his head. ''hmm, i don't know,'' he said, still playing dumb.

Vicky didn't conciously pick up on his act, but it passed though her mind subconsiously, without her really considering it. "Well, remember it or not, this is the way." She looked around, checking for anyone else in the corridor, or nearby area, before walking up to the statue, pointing her wand at it and clearly saying, "Dissendium."
The statue moved to one side, revealing a passage. It was rather dark, and Vicky could see no means of lighting or even a candle. "Lumos Maxima." She muttered, moving her wand as necessary, before a light formed at the tip of her wand. She turned to Stephan, as she took a few steps into the passage.

stephan glanced around after vicky had, checking that there was nobody in the corridor watching them. of course he had known where the statue had been. he had known the whole time, but just didn't say. he watched as she made the statue move to one side, revealing a long and dark tunnel. it would be pitch black once they stepped inside and the statue closed over. they would be completely alone.
stephan followed vicky, still knowing that they were holding hands, and walked inside the tunnel. as he had known, the statue coveered up the tunnel afterwards and he was about to get out his wand to provide the light for them but vicky had already done that. he smiled at her. ''pretty cosy, ain't it?'' he said sarcastically. it was damp and cold, and not at all what you would call cosy.

"Shame it's not on the market." She said to Stephan with a chuckle, glancing back at the closing passageway. She began to walk down the passageway, looking at the walls of the tunnel for an medieval torch, but none crossed her line of sight. Her wand started to fade slightly, so she made the movement again, muttering the same incantation, before the light replenished. She heard something scurrying across the floor, and cast the light in the direction of the sound. As always, it was a rat.
