''snow is falling all around me children playing having fun it's the season love and understanding merry christmas everyone''
------------------------- the hall looked fabulous.
rose had decorated the hall with banners, streamers, balloons and all sorts of bits and bobs. they were all bright and festive, showing off their glistening colors of red, green, white, gold, and silver. just as christmas should be. there was a huge christmas tree in the middle of the hall and it was beautifully decorated with tinsel and sparkling lights and a giant gold star placed carefully on the top. and to top it all off, there were hundreds of presents, mounded neatly under the tree; all adressed to the students from rose.
she had made such an effort to get this sorted, and it was ready to happen. she had even cast a charm that would make it snow lightly indoor so everyone would be in the christmas spirit. christmas music had been sorted and would be playing non-stop when the guests began to arrive, and the whole way around the outside of the hall were tables filled with drinks and food for the students to feast on.
rose was stunning. she was wearing a knee-length red dress and high red heels. she had a light layer of make-up on; she didn't need much afterall, she was naturally beautiful. her long blonde hair lay over her shoulders in loose curls. the music began playing as she waited for the guests to begin arriving, ready to dance the night away.

he said softly, staying professional though she was family. Unfortunately, one couldn't tell by their looks but would have to know their names, family tree, and their parents. "I pray you are doing well, yes?" The one thing his mother did praise him on was his manners and his friendly tone, though she did like to say that first impressions meant everything and his look would surely put off many future employers despite his wonderful manners. But now, he could say that he did have a job at Hogwarts, the most prestigious wizarding school in Britain. [/ul]

After adding the finishing touches to her office, Pricilla dressed herself in a silver dress which fell to her ankles and wrists. Sparkling shoes formed a layer between her feet and the floor, and her brown hair was curled as it fell to her shoulders. (;; Soz it's so similar, lol.) Leaving the decorations of her office behind, she made her way to the always stunning Great Hall.
As she walked through the welcoming golden doors, Pricilla's jaw dropped. The room looked as beautiful as the Headmistress did, and the stunned professor stood in awe at the doorway for several moments before three words escaped her lips. "Oh... my... God! Rose, this is amazing!"
Strolling over to the two people, she recognised one as the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, though her name was not something she knew. Putting her hand out to him, she smiled. "Pricilla Westwood, Duelling." After he shook it, she looked at Rose from her hair down to her feet, before speaking once more. "Anyone would've thought you were one of the decorations."

''snow is falling all around me children playing having fun it's the season love and understanding merry christmas everyone''
-------------------------
all was well.
the place looked stunning and was proving to be a big hit with the first few arrivals. rose straightened out her dress to perfection as she walked over towards her cousin who had begun speaking to her in quite a formal way. ''oh albus, you always were a somewhat professional,'' she said, adressing him by his first name. she laughed and threw her arms around him, giving him a hug. once she let go she looked around once more. ''yeah, i'm doing very well, what about you?'' she asked him gracefully.
but the thing was, she wasn't doing well. not at all. rose put on a brave face almost every second of every day. but how could she live knowing that she was now never able to see her daughter or ben. they were supposed to get married in a few months but they had gone. she wasn't sure of whether they were ever coming back. all was not well with rose, and nobody knew about it. she was a damn good actress to be able to hide all the emotions swirling around inside of her, but she swallowed her feelings with pride and just thought about the school.
it had been a while now since she and dean had finalized their divorce and she was free to be with ben for the rest of her life, to bring up the little girl she hadn't seen for the first fifteen years of her life. she was hoping to make up for that, but it was impossible now. rose looked down to the ground, frowning for a moment as these thoughts haunted her yet again, just as they had been doing for a few weeks now. she couldn't rid them from her mind, so she had to pretend to be happy.
rose looked up again as pricilla wwestwood entered the room and was astonished to see the appearance of the hall. rose was happy she liked it as well, she had worked hard on it. rose smiled elegantly as pricilla said that anyone would've thought she was one of the decorations. ''why thank you, pricilla,'' she said, smiling at her. ''it's lovely to see you,'' she added, talking so as the horrible thoughts of her reality were soon swept to the back of her mind.

Albus smiled, knowing that his cousin meant well and was only kidding him. Plus, Al knew that he always sounded so professional until he loosened up a bit. "Blame my mother," he laughed. He wrapped his arms around her, returning her hug. Releasing her, he nodded his head smiling, grateful to hear that she was doing well. It was always gave him a special pleasure to hear that his family member was doing well, getting along with their life. "Me, well, I've been doing good. I'm teaching my favorite subject so I'm enjoying myself." And he was. He was at Hogwarts, his favorite childhood place besides the Burrow, and he was teaching students the one subject he enjoyed while he was at Hogwarts.
Albus glanced around the Great Hall, noticing that few peopl were filing in. In fact, he had missed the fact that Rose had been frowning just moments before as she thought about her own feelings. By the time he had turned around, she was all smiles again and a new face was appearing into their little group. Another professor, he assumed, and one that he had the misfortune of not meeting just yet. To think that Albus didn't know someone on the staff when he had tried so hard to get to know everyone. Well, it was time to start over, he felt. He smiled, keeping his dignity and pride intact, and puffing out his chest slightly.
He took her hand. "Pleasure to meet you. Albus Potter, Dark Arts," he replied before realizing that she may actually think that he taught the Dark Arts. "Well...I mean...Defense Against Dark Arts...I don't actually teach kids to perform dark spells or anything." His cheeks had turned a bright red, flustered a bit, trying to explain himself and not cause any kind of misunderstandings. That was certainly the last thing he needed was Rose to believe that Albus was some Dark Lord, teaching students the Dark Arts. He didn't wish to be fired on some crazy suspicion, losing his job, but also his family's trust. His family meant everything to him.
