The Great Hall. A huge hall for feasts, meetings, or just random fun. There are four long tables, for each house, and a long staff table where the professors can eat.

Want to send a letter home? Here is the place to find your own owl, or borrow one from the school. Just watch out for all the mess on the floor!

The hospital wing contains many beds with white sheets, optional privacy screens and bedpans. It also contains the offices of Artemis Silvanesti and Matt Fielding.

The library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. The different sections include an Invisibility Section, a section on dragons and the Restricted Section at the very back, barred by a rope.

The Room of Requirement appears only when someone is in need of it. To make it appear, one must walk past its hidden entrance three times while concentrating on what is needed. The room will then appear, outfitted with whatever is required.

Moaning Myrtle's bathroom contains the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. The entrance is a sink with a snake scratched onto the tap, opened by speaking in Parseltongue.

The lake is located on the south side of the castle, which stands on a cliff overlooking the water. It is about half a mile in diameter and the Hogwarts plumbing network drains into it.

The Forbidden Forest is a large, dark forest to the east of Hogwarts Castle. It is strictly forbidden to all students, except during Care of Magical Creatures lessons and, on rare occasions, detentions. Though the Forest is vastly dense and wild, there are a few paths and clearings. These are mostly made by Rubeus Hagrid, who frequently travels into the Forest for various reasons.

An open space surrounded by walls or buildings, adjoining or within a building such as a large house or housing complex.

The Whomping Willow is a very valuable magical tree on the Hogwarts grounds. The tree is extremely violent, striking viciously with its branches at anything that comes within reach.

Some students like to go here at night, and sneak through the passage from the whomping willow. Don't be afraid if you hear weird sounds.

St. Mungo's is disguised behind a muggle store. Medics at the hospital are not called doctors, but are known as Healers or Mediwizards and wear lime-green robes.

Dark-hooded dementors and an air of death haunts the corridors of Azkaban. You don't want to lurk near here.
